Playing Major Arpeggios
PIANO, Multimedia tutorials, Scales & Arpeggios, How 2 Play Piano
Arpeggios carried out by either hand and used often in both accompaniments and improvisations are technically and harmonically absolutely vital for pianists. The major arpeggio (or major triad) is made up of a root, a major third and a perfect fifth and so fits wonderfully into a major chord environment. As you can tell from the practice licks, the major arpeggio can be applied in a wide variety of musical styles such as rock, pop and jazz. This course gives you the opportunity to take a look at the major arpeggios in different keys, to study them with three technical exercises (with corresponding recordings), and finally to play them along to backing tracks with seven licks.
