Arpeggios carried out by either hand and used often in both accompaniments and improvisations are technically and harmonically absolutely vital for pianists. The minor seventh (m7) arpeggio is made up of a root, a minor third, a perfect fifth, and a minor seventh and so fits wonderfully into minor and m7 chord environments. As you can tell from the practice licks, the m7 arpeggio can be applied in a wide variety of musical styles such as blues, rock, pop and jazz. This course gives you the opportunity to take a look at the m7 arpeggios in different keys, to study them with three technical exercises (with corresponding recordings), and finally to play them along to backing tracks with seven licks.
