The bar (or barring) technique allows you to transpose any chord whatsoever – be it a major, minor or seventh chord. For transposing open E chords (EM, Em, E7) you will use the root/tonic on the E string as your point of reference and for transposing A chords (AM, Am, A7) you will use the tonic on the A string as your point of reference. In order to execute bar chords correctly, you need to literally pinch the guitar neck between your thumb and index finger, which means that the thumb is placed in the middle of the back of the neck and the index finger is laid straight across the strings of the fretboard. This course provides a video presentation of the bar chords, three technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, as well as seven accompaniments you can play along to just as many different backing tracks. This PDF includes: 11 music scores + 1 video + 24 audios
