Legato Techniques (Hammer-on & Pull-off)

Legato or articulation techniques allow you to play several notes with only one right hand stroke, smoothing the connection between the notes. A hammer-on enables you to play two consecutive ascending (low to high) notes, whereas a pull-off enables you to play two consecutive descending (high to low) notes. These left hand techniques are intrinsically tied to bass effects. This course provides a video demonstration example and a technical exercise with its corresponding recording, as well as nine grooves and basslines you can play along to backing tracks.
